Our School

Team Culture

AYM believes that students learn best when all stakeholders are actively involved in their education. We apply valid research findings from the field of education, psychology, and ABA in teaching, professional development, and parent education. AYM values building partnerships with students, families, professionals, and community to promote a safe, responsible, respectful, and collegial environment. AYM treats everyone equally, respectfully, and professionally. AYM is committed to promote continuous collaboration, professional development, and growth for all stakeholders

Technological Support

AYM enhances students’ learning through 21st century, state-of-the-art educational technology tools throughout the school. Each classroom is equipped with computers, interactive Apple TV, and iPads for educational supports. In addition, AYM strives to enable teachers and families to spend more time on students and their progress by using various technological support systems (e.g., data collection and graphing software, parent-teacher communication, progress reports, lesson plans, etc.). Teachers are able to focus and spend more time on what promotes students’ learning and growth while parents can easily access their own child’s educational data and communicate their concerns or questions with teachers effectively and efficiently.

State-of-the-Art Educational and Therapeutic Facility

AYM believes that environment plays a critical role in education and students’ success. We prioritize on setting appropriate contingencies to promote positive learning experiences for students on the autism spectrum and sensory challenges by ensuring safety, security, and sensory integrated features. We believe that enhancing sensory experiences including touch, sight, sound, movement,  and environmental awareness is a critical foundation for the advancement of more complex learning and higher level repertoires. Thus, AYM’s state-of-the-art learning facility is carefully designed keeping students’ sensory and developmental challenges and needs in mind while focusing on promoting enhanced learning opportunities. At AYM, we have a total of 12 classrooms and each class has 8:1:2 ratio, where there are eight students, one certified special education teacher, and two teaching assistants. The facility includes 6 therapy rooms,  a sensory gym, indoor gym, and an outdoor playground.
